Celebrating Black History Month

Celebrating Black History Month

Today, February 1, marks the beginning of Black History Month, an opportunity for Canadians to honour, reflect on, and celebrate the stories, achievements, and experiences of Black Canadians across the country. We encourage our employees, clients, and peers to utilize this month, and beyond, to educate yourself on the Black Canadians who have made, and continue to make, significant contributions to our society and country.

Throughout the month of February, we will be spotlighting and raising awareness for various programs and initiatives happening both nationally and locally to raise awareness for Black History Month and the Black Canadians who have helped shape Canada – past, present and future. We will also be sharing educational resources to help inspire discussion, increase awareness, and honour the legacies of these incredible individuals.
